I work as a SharePoint and Office 365 trainer and consultant in my company Reiners.
While working with and training SharePoint I have stumbled upon multiple bigger and smaller problems that i trusted Microsoft would correct. Many very obvious and easy to spot and fix with the  next version of SharePoint. But after 8 years working with SharePoint my sad conclusion is; They don’t????

So, here is a little blog about improvements to an otherwise great system. Most of them small things, like the obvious stupidity that links within the links list dont have an "Open in new window" option. Or it could be the mess with nomenclature between what is a Site collection which sometimes is referred to as a Site, and a Web which often means subsite. Did i mention the top navigation referred to as global navigation in the navigation menu? In addition, in the same place the Quick Launch is referred to as “Local navigation”. It’s a mess :-)

I can mention a ton of similar smaller or bigger glitches that needs improvement; this is what this little critical, but absolutely friendly, blog about SharePoint is about.

Mayby you ask; Is it really important? These small glitches. My answer is a loud Yes they are. When i train people new to this system i meet sceptical faces, Why dont Microsoft fix this? Are they really dedicated to this system. Can we be dedicated when they arent? You can say I as a trainer and a consultant is the last salesman on the outer frontier. I NEED these things to work to raise enthusiasm and dedication. CMON Microsoft!
